Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 7, 2026

This privacy policy applies to the Stamped app ("Application") for mobile devices, published by Pothos Digital ("Service Provider"). Stamped is a local-first travel journal. By default, your stamps, visits, and travel history stay on your device.

What Stamped Stores on Your Device

The Application stores your travel data locally in a database on your phone, including:

  • Countries and territories you have marked as visited
  • Visits you add, including names and dates
  • Your app settings, such as theme and place-counting mode

Stamped does not require an account. The Service Provider does not operate a cloud backup service for your travel journal and does not receive your stamp or visit data automatically.

You can export your data as a backup file from Settings and import it again on the same or another device. Backup files are created and shared by you. The Service Provider only receives that data if you choose to send it, for example when contacting support.

Information the Application May Collect

When you use the Application, limited technical and usage information may be collected to operate, maintain, and improve the app. This may include:

  • Device type, operating system version, and app version
  • Screen views and in-app usage events, such as settings changes or data export actions
  • Diagnostic information needed to troubleshoot app issues
  • Subscription status when you use paid features
  • Network-related information, such as IP address, when the app connects to online services

Stamped does not use background GPS tracking to log your travels. The app is configured not to request location access on launch. Location permission may be requested only if you choose to use map features that show your current position.

If you contact the Service Provider or submit feedback, they may receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message content, device details, and app version.

Third-Party Services

The Application uses third-party services that may process limited data according to their own privacy policies:

  • PostHog — product analytics, including screen views and usage events
  • RevenueCat — subscription and purchase status
  • Expo — app delivery and over-the-air updates
  • Featurebase — feedback portal, when you choose to open it from the app
  • Map providers such as Apple Maps or Google Maps — map tiles and map-related services when you view the map
  • Google Play Services — platform services on Android devices

Payments for subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. The Service Provider does not receive or store your payment card details.

The Service Provider may disclose information:

  • when required by law or legal process;
  • when disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or investigate fraud; or
  • with service providers who process data on the Service Provider's behalf under confidentiality obligations.

Your Choices

You can stop analytics and other online data collection associated with your use of the Application by uninstalling it. You can delete your local travel data in the app, erase app data, or remove the Application from your device using your phone's standard uninstall process.

Data Retention

Travel data stored locally on your device remains there until you delete it in the app, erase app data, or uninstall the Application. Information you send to the Service Provider, such as support messages, is kept only as long as needed to respond and maintain records. To request deletion of information you have sent to the Service Provider, contact jack@pothosdigital.co.

Children

The Application is not directed to children under 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to the Service Provider, contact jack@pothosdigital.co so appropriate action can be taken.

Security

The Service Provider takes reasonable steps to protect information it processes. Because your travel journal is stored on your device, keeping your phone secure and maintaining your own backups are important parts of protecting your data.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
